Paul Wieboldt has dedicated his career to advancing the HVAC industry through innovation, expertise, and education. He founded Tradesman Heating and Air Conditioning Services in Waco, Texas, in 1993, establishing a strong reputation for quality and excellence. In 1999, his team had the distinct honor of installing geothermal systems in the Crawford, Texas, ranch home of President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush—an achievement that underscored their technical expertise at the highest level. That same year, Paul founded Tradewinds Appropriate Technologies, expanding his work into HVAC system design, diagnostics, and residential and commercial test-and-balancing services.

A licensed HVAC contractor and seasoned professional, Paul holds NATE, BPI, and all available National Comfort Institute (NCI) certifications, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and industry best practices.

Since 2005, Paul has trained thousands of HVAC contractors through National Comfort Institute’s residential and commercial certification programs. Drawing on his decades of hands-on experience, he blends technical expertise with engaging storytelling—captivating audiences and making complex concepts memorable. His passion lies in helping contractors unlock their full potential and master their craft, ensuring the next generation of HVAC professionals excels in both skill and leadership. Fun Fact:
Paul enjoys playing the acoustic guitar (for the last 50 years) and doing bicycle repair and tying flies with his grandsons. He also enjoys experimenting with alternative energy projects.
